Every little life matters and deserves to be celebrated
As many already know our beautiful baby girl, Ayla’s heart stopped during her sleep on Wednesday the 15th of May, 2024.
After 67 minutes the paramedics and team in PICU at JHH were able to find a pulse but sadly Ayla wouldn’t survive once taken off life support so we got to spend some special memory making time with our darling daughter before we had to call Ayla’s siblings and all of our family and those closest to us to come into to say their goodbyes.
Late that night in PICU Dallas (Aylas Daddy) held me while we held our beautiful baby girl in my arms and softly sang “you are my sunshine” Ayla took her last breath.
I know Ayla knew how loved she was in every moment she lived and she knows how loved she is every moment since.
There is not a moment we don’t miss our beautiful baby girl and long for her to be in our arms.
This has been the hardest 9 months without our daughter. We still need support and we will for the rest of our lives because this kind of loss never ends. There has been times where I’ve never felt more alone and my heart breaks for anyone who has been in our position or anyone who tragically will be in our position.
So..
I created this page for Say Their Name Day to raise funds for Red Nose so they can continue their important work supporting bereaved families across Australia.
If you can support my fundraiser, you will be helping to bring care and comfort to families when they need it most.
Every dollar raised helps support bereaved families by making sure every family has access to the information and networks they need to move forward and rebuild their lives, now and in the future.
That means timely access to information resources, an understanding voice on the end of the phone, and an ongoing connection with other families through support groups and remembrance activities.
So please, help me raise much-needed funds to ensure every bereaved family has access to the support they need, for as long as they need it.
Thank you.
