“You are not alone in these battles, no matter if you lost your baby in the womb or earth side. That bond is special and un-breakable. We have an amazing community that support one another through this grief.”
Holly – Ellie’s Mum
With the cutest little feet and a fierce fighting spirit, Ellie formed an unbreakable bond with us, her parents.
We were told at our 16 week's scan there were some issues. But, at every scan post that, Ellie showed us that she wouldn’t stop fighting. She was so active on her scans, waving around her gorgeous little feet. Sadly, despite her spirit and strength, on the 7 January in 2022 our beautiful Ellie was born sleeping at 24 and a half weeks.
There is an amazing community spirit within those who have experienced baby loss. For the past two years during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month we have attended Red Nose’s Walk to Remember in Perth. And we plan to do this as long as we live.
I want those who are going through the same journey to know:
It's ok to feel sad, its ok to feel angry. But just know, your precious guardian angel is always with you, so when the days seem tough, and you feel it’s too hard, keep pushing to make your baby proud.
You are not alone and there is so much support around you.
At the home of Nanna Mandy, she has dedicated a fairy garden to our little Ellie. We too have a shrine at home for her. She will always be with us.
